Your are Our Lighthouse
Metaphors written to Miss Hancock by Charlotte

Miss Hancock is the lighthouse that guides the captains who were lost in the boundless ocean of literature and education. During the days with with sunny weather, when everything goes easily and smoothly, she is an old and abandoned building that serves no use. The students don't realize the importance of her when the sea is gentle. However, during the dark nights when the sea roars, she is still willing  to guide the ships to safety. Thus, it might be to late to notice the lighthouse's importance .

Which one to Listen to?
Poetry response to "The Sound of Holyhocks" by Hugh Garner

Are the flowers talking?
Or is he hallucinating
Is  the calamity
the reasons for his insanity
So many flowers
yet, each has a different speech
Which one should he choose?

Why has his mom disfavoured  Sandra
where comes her animosity
She pushes the wife away ,
and she left and passed away
leading to Bill's dismay.
The grief of losing her,
makes flowers talk to him.

If his mother has acepted her
could Bill end in the clinic.
It's almost ironic
'cause the mother wants the best of him.

The marigolds, the daisies, the holyhocks
Which one to listen to?

Morality or Value
Poetry Response to "Gentlemen, Your Verdict"

Morality or value
does the latter change the former,
does the former control the latter
which one demands more attention
while making critical decision

Value is something held to deserve,
something with significance and usefulness
Morality is about good conduct,
considering the rights and wrongs
One can be immoral,
but obtaining one's values
One can be moral,
but betraying one's values

There are 20 men
scariface 15 to save 5
who have children and wive.

Morality says no,
we must right the wrong
to kill innocent men.
Value says yes,
men with families
have more reasons to live
Which is right
Morality or value
